Hotel Ibis Apartadó

Hotel Ibis Apartadó
Located in Apartadó on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, the Hotel Ibis Apartadó provides an ideal location to stay for both business and tourism. The hotel is part of the Santa María Business Center, which includes offices and retail stores, all of which were developed by Arquitectura y Concreto. The 10-floor hotel has 105 rooms and is operated by the Accor Hotels Ibis chain.

Arquitectura y Concreto partnered with architects AIA to construct a hotel that not only provides comfort and convenience for guests, but also a resource-efficient way of operating that reduces costs. The hotel saves energy by using less glazing on the façade, energy-efficient air conditioning, and solar hot water collectors. Other features like low-flow showerheads and dual flush water closets conserve water. Construction materials such as plasterboards on metal studs for internal walls were also carefully chosen to reduce embodied energy in materials by more than half. With these green features, the hotel is expected to cut its utility bills nearly in half.

Arquitectura y Concreto and AIA have contributed to the development of the Colombian real estate market for decades. For more than 29 years, Arquitectura y Concreto has aimed to develop properties that are economically, socially and environmentally responsible. The developer has constructed more than nine million square meters of floor space across the country. AIA has solved design and construction challenges for more than 70 years and is committed to designing buildings with minimal harm to the environment. Hotel Ibis Apartadó has received final EDGE certification from CAMACOL.
