Sakura Montessori International School – Ha Dong

Sakura Montessori International School – Ha Dong

Sakura Montessori International Preschool System (SMIS) became a pioneer for education in Vietnam when it opened the country’s first Montessori school system in 2011. The international Montessori standard focuses on creative environments that promote self-awareness and individuality while achieving high academic standards of math, science, art, music and more to nurture each child’s ability to reach their full potential. Each of the eight schools in the SMIS system accepts children up to six years old and offers bilingual programs for Vietnamese, Japanese and English with native teachers. Each school also has a Japanese physical education program and extensive extracurricular programs to foster life skills and core values in children.

Located in Hanoi, the Ha Dong school offers a safe and engaging space to learn, while also teaching about social responsibility and environmental protection. The Ha Dong school is built to conserve natural resources and minimize carbon emissions to help lower the impact of buildings on the environment. This fits with the school’s commitment to the comprehensive development of each child, both individually and in how they interact with the world. The developer of the school, EMC Education Development Joint Stock Company, has installed such practical measures as energy-efficient air conditioning to reduce energy use and dual flush water closets to save water. In addition to providing a more modern and sustainable school, these green features also reduce operational costs. Sakura Montessori is proud to bring a safe, green and lively teaching environment that meets the need for each child’s comprehensive development.

The Sakura Montessori International School – Ha Dong has received final EDGE certification from SGS Vietnam.
