What is the Preferred Provider Program?

The Global EDGE team has developed a program for companies, consultancy firms, and other registered businesses that meet minimum eligibility requirements, employ at least 2 qualified professionals, and have a demonstrated history of successful green building projects that have achieved EDGE certification. EDGE has created this program in response to client requests for more clarity in the process of selecting consultants for complex or priority sustainable construction projects.

What is a Preferred Provider?

A Preferred Service Provider is an established business with proven technical expertise and a demonstrated history of successfully completed EDGE certifications.

What are the benefits of hiring a Preferred Provider?

What are the benefits of working with a preferred provider? Unlike individuals, these firms have the capacity to deliver quality services on a large scale. Individuals are encouraged to participate as EDGE Experts, Faculty, or Auditors and may later qualify through a registered business.

What are the eligibility criteria for Preferred Providers?

When hiring an EDGE consultancy firm, clients can choose from two recognized levels: Preferred and Premier. Preferred firms have certified at least 5 projects or 50,000 sqm, maintain a minimum of one EDGE Expert, Auditor, or Faculty member, and actively promote EDGE through client engagement and outreach. Premier firms meet higher standards—certifying over 10 projects or 500,000 sqm, employing multiple certified professionals, and holding at least 40 one-on-one meetings with potential EDGE clients annually. Both levels ensure quality, but Premier firms offer deeper experience and broader market impact.
