EDGE Discovery Workshop: Greening the Philippine Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Landscape – Philippines
February 9 @ 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM PST
Join us on Tuesday, February 9 at 3:00 p.m. PST to discover the motivations for and measures taken by various real estate leaders towards greening the commercial real estate (CRE) landscape.
The World Bank forecasts that the Philippines will register six percent economic growth this year. As the emerging country gears up for a stronger-than-expected recovery after a deep recession in 2020, Central Business Districts will see their skylines light up once again. Considering how even amidst the pandemic, CO2 emissions from building operations have been at their highest level to date, according to the UNEP and GlobalABC, the onus is on the CRE sector to push for a green recovery.
Speakers from IFC and Sintali-SGS will begin the free webinar by presenting the business and technical case for green CRE, through case studies and data, showcasing how EDGE can help CRE players achieve cost-effective, sustainable outcomes. The event will also feature a developers panel with speakers from Arthaland, BF Group, and Damosa Land, who will discuss the value proposition of building green for Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao, respectively. Country experts on CRE from Colliers International and JLL Philippines will also provide their insights, bridging the discussion from landlords to locators and highlighting the role of CRE firms in the Philippine’s transition onto a more low-carbon path in 2021.
