Predicted Savings of EDGE Certification
Less Embodied Energy in Materials
Reduced window to wall ratio, insulation of external walls, low-E coated glass, air conditioning with air cooled screw chiller, and energy-saving lighting systems for back-of-house, internal and external spaces.
Low-flow faucets in kitchens and bathrooms, single flush and flush valve for water closets, water-efficient urinals, and aerators and auto shut-off faucets.
Facing brick and hollow concrete blocks for external walls.
*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
