Cantabria

Cantabria is a six-tower housing project bringing 680 units to the housing market in Bogotá. The housing project is ideally located, near city transportation, shopping centers, healthcare facilities and airports. Residents will enjoy the community’s amenities, including a pool, fitness center, spa, playground and theater.

Cantabria was designed to conserve natural resources, helping residents save on utility costs and lower their carbon emissions. External shading devices, reflective paint and energy-saving lighting will reduce the building’s energy use, while dual-flush water closets and low-flow plumbing fixtures will reduce the building’s water use.

Amarilo, the developer of the project, has designed and constructed urban housing projects in Colombia for more than 27 years. The company is committed to building spaces that offer a strong sense of community and an environmentally-responsible lifestyle for residents. Amarilo has also certified Boreal Colsubsidio with EDGE.

Cantabria has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from CAMACOL.

Energy

Reflective paint/tiles for the roof, external shading devices, energy-saving lighting in internal and external spaces, and lighting controls for corridors and staircases.

Water

Dual-flush water closets and low-flow showerheads and faucets for kitchen sinks and washbasins.

Materials

In-situ reinforced concrete for the floor and roof, cored bricks with plaster on both sides for internal walls, and in-situ reinforced internal and external walls.

*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
