Daan Mogot Towers 1-2 – “Rusunawa”
The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta Indonesia has undertaken the construction of Rumah Susun Sederhana Sewa (shortened to “Rusunawa”) or simple, low-cost apartment buildings. Once completed, the total number of residential units is expected to reach 28,000. The first and second of these residential towers, designed and built by PT Yodaya Hijau Bestari, feature 540 green, affordable rental flats. They will be managed by the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta.
Low-flow plumbing fixtures, dual-flush water closets and a rainwater harvesting system have been installed to curb water consumption. Passive design features such as controlled use of glass on the façades and natural ventilation will complement energy-saving lighting systems to reduce overall power usage. The towers are made of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, a material that minimizes environmental impacts.
Daan Mogot Towers 1-2 – “Rusunawa” has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from the Green Building Council Indonesia.
