Ecohome Nhon Binh is bringing 1,380 residential apartments to the housing market in the Nhon Binh Ward of Quy Nhon. One of the largest social housing projects in the city, the complex will span five towers and will be surrounded by a landscape and garden system that connects residents with nature.
The apartment complex was designed to conserve natural resources, helping residents save on utility costs and lower their carbon emissions. External shading devices, lighting controls, solar photovoltaics, LED lighting, and low-flow plumbing fixtures will be used to contribute to the towers’ energy and water savings.
Ecohome Nhon Binh is being built by Capital House, a real estate investor dedicated to spreading green values to the communities in which it operates. An EDGE Champion, Capital House incorporates energy-smart technologies and architectural design into its commercial and residential buildings. Additional EDGE-certified projects by Capital House include Ecohome 3, Ecohome Phuc Loi, EcoCity Premia Sales Gallery, and Ecolife Riverside.
Ecohome Nhon Binh has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from SGS Vietnam.
Predicted Savings of EDGE Certification
Less Embodied Energy in Materials
Reduced window-to-wall ratio, reflective paint for external walls, external shading devices, solar photovoltaics, energy-saving lighting in internal and external spaces, and lighting controls for corridors and staircases.
Dual-flush water closets and low-flow showerheads and faucets for washbasins.
In-situ waffle concrete for the floor and cellular light weight concrete blocks for internal walls.
*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
