Fiesta Americana México Satélite
Located in Tlalnepantla, an industrial hub of greater Mexico City rich in history and culture, the Fiesta Americana México Satélite is situated in an ideal area with easy access to nearby offices and shopping. The five-star hotel has 223 guest rooms, a restaurant, and meeting areas, and is designed to be resource-efficient. The hotel saves energy with the help of energy-efficient air conditioning and energy-saving lighting, while reducing its water consumption through low-flow showerheads and auto shut-off faucets. Using less concrete in floor slabs and walls also helps conserve more than 50 percent in embodied energy in materials.
Building green not only helps Fiesta Americana México Satélite lower their carbon footprint, but it also makes economic sense. As a green building, the hotel saves over $9,800 per month in utility costs and will recover the additional investment required in less than two years.
The hotel is a member of the Fiesta Americana hotel chain, operated by Grupo Posadas and owned by Fibra Hotel. Dozens of other hotels in the Fiesta Americana chain can be found in Monterrey, Veracruz and Cancun. The Fiesta Americana México Satélite is also one of 87 hotels owned by Fibra Hotel, a Mexican company that develops, acquires, owns and operates hotels across Mexico. Fiesta Americana México Satélite has received final EDGE certification from GBCI.
