Greenage Student Housing – University of Abuja
Greenage is a climate and socio-environmental focused, private sector-led initiative that addresses the student housing gap in Nigeria. At the University of Abuja, Greenage Student Housing will do its part to help close the gap with 248 rooms.
Aligned with Nigeria’s commitment to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent by 2030, the new housing at the University of Abuja will utilize resource-efficient design features and technologies to lower the project’s carbon footprint. LED lighting, external shading devices and solar photovoltaics will be installed to reduce the building’s energy use.
The student housing will also reduce water use with dual-flush water closets, low-flow plumbing fixtures and a rainwater harvesting system.
Greenage Student Housing at the University of Abuja has received an EDGE Advanced certificate from thinkstep-SGS.
