Hue Square Boutique Hotel

Hue Square is a new innovative boutique hotel in the heart of Hue City, located across from the famed Perfume River and with direct views of the Truong Tien Bridge and Imperial Citadel. The boutique hotel aspires to harmonize modern architectural elements with Hue’s rich historical values to create a dynamic space for both tourists and the local community. The design maximizes daylight and provides guests with large open spaces to enjoy.

The hotel will also utilize resource-efficient design features and technologies to reduce its environmental impact and to save on operating costs. Low-E coated glass, roof insulation, and an energy-efficient air conditioning system will be installed to reduce the building’s energy use, while water-efficient bathroom fixtures will be installed to reduce the building’s water use.

The developer, Luks International, is building the Hue Square Boutique Hotel to serve as an example of environmental stewardship and sustainable development for the city.

Hue Square Boutique Hotel has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from SGS Vietnam.

Energy

External shading devices, insulation of the roof, low-E coated glass, a variable refrigerant volume (VRV) cooling system, and energy-saving lighting in internal, external, and back-of-house spaces.

Water

Low-flow showerheads and water-efficient urinals, water closets, and faucets.

Materials

In-situ reinforced concrete slab for the floor and roof, medium weight hollow concrete blocks for internal and external walls, autoclaved aerated concrete blocks for internal walls, and in-situ reinforced external walls.

*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
