Nursing Building Block 3 – Bogor City Public Hospital
Bogor City Public Hospital has opened a new 264-bed building, Nursing Building Block 3 (Gedung Perawatan Blok 3 RSUD Kota Bogor). The new four-story public hospital was built to provide healthcare services for the lower middle-class community. The hospital is highly accessible as it is located in the heart of the city, less than three kilometers away from Bogor Train Station, which serves 280,000 passengers daily.
Resource-efficient design and technologies were incorporated into the hospital to conserve natural resources and save on operating costs. External shading devices, a variable refrigerant flow cooling system and LED lighting were installed to reduce the building’s energy use, while low-flow showerheads and water-efficient water closets were installed to reduce the building’s water use.
The contractor of the project, PT Trikencana Sakti Utama, is committed to constructing sustainable buildings that better the lives of Indonesians. Bogor City Public Hospital’s new building is an example of this commitment, enabling the hospital to use its utilities savings to provide life-saving medical care to the community.
Bogor City Public Hospital’s Nursing Building Block 3 has received final EDGE certification from the Green Building Council Indonesia.
