Predicted Savings of EDGE Certification
Less Embodied Energy in Materials
Reduced window to wall ratio, reflective paint for external walls, external shading devices energy-saving light bulbs in internal and external spaces, and lighting controls for corridors and staircases.
Low-flow showerheads, kitchen sinks and washbasins, and single flush for water closets.
In-situ reinforced and plasterboards on metal studs for internal walls and in-situ reinforced for external walls, floors in-situ reinforced concrete slab, roof in-situ reinforced concrete slab and steel (zinc or galvanised iron) sheets on steel rafters.
*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
