Springhill LIMA
EDGE Advanced
The Springhill LIMA Standard Factory Building is being developed by Springhill Holdings. It is located in the LIMA Technology Park in Batangas, Philippines, an industrial park that caters to a multitude of export-oriented manufacturing companies. The facility is built to serve any industry’s manufacturing processes or warehousing with high vertical racking systems.
The facility utilizes radiant and vapor-barrier insulation on all covered areas, which drastically cools the buildings and mitigates the energy needs of cooling systems amid the tropical heat and humidity. The use of skylights and energy-saving LED lighting further reduces electricity consumption for the facility. Water-efficient plumbing features also allow for a reduced consumption of water. In combination with construction materials that allowed for a reduction of energy embodied in materials of over 73%, this resulted in a more sustainable construction project overall and a reduced carbon footprint. The facility’s roof was designed to allow for the installation of multiple solar panels. Structurally, the buildings are set to withstand typhoon force winds.
Springhill LIMA has received a Preliminary EDGE Certificate from the Philippine Green Building Initiative (PGBI).
