Torre 220
EDGE Advanced
Torre 220 is a 4-story residential apartment complex located in the La Florida neighborhood of Tampico, Mexico. The project consists of a total of 3 apartments with an average floor space of 175 square meters and was developed by Diseño y Proyectos Jan S.A, a local real estate developer with a focus on designing high-quality projects with a view toward sustainability.
To meet international standards for resource efficiency, energy and water-saving technologies were incorporated into the design, construction and internal processes of the building. Reflective paint for roof and external walls, wall insulation, higher thermal performance glass, and LED lighting reduce the building’s energy use, while water-efficient plumbing fixtures reduce its water consumption. The application of state-of-the-art construction technologies further allowed for a substantial reduction in energy embodied in materials, lowering the overall carbon footprint for the entire project.
Torre 220 has received Final EDGE Advanced Certification from Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).
