El edificio de los Tribunales de Justicia de Jicaral presta servicios a los 10 000 habitantes de Jicaral, una ciudad pequeña de la costa oeste de Costa Rica. El edificio público es el primero de una serie que el Poder Judicial del Gobierno de Costa Rica prevé desarrollar en otras provincias del país. Los Tribunales de Justicia de Jicaral incluyen una sala de tribunal, celdas, oficinas administrativas y de trabajo social, y otros servicios para los residentes de Jicaral.

La construcción ecológica permite al Gobierno de Costa Rica ahorrar costos operativos y dinero de los impuestos. Al utilizar aire acondicionado eficaz en el uso de la energía y paneles solares, el edificio puede conservar la energía, especialmente durante los días más calurosos del verano. El techo de la sede judicial también contiene un sistema de recolección de agua de lluvia, que, combinado con otras características, como grifos de bajo flujo y orinales que ahorran agua, le permite al edificio ahorrar hasta un 64 % en el uso del agua.

Los desarrolladores de los Tribunales de Justicia de Jicaral, OPB Arquitectos, están comprometidos a construir proyectos sostenibles para los sectores público y privado de Costa Rica. Cuentan con más de 40 años de experiencia en el diseño de soluciones innovadoras para edificios gubernamentales, residenciales e industriales, y tienen previsto construir más edificios judiciales para el Gobierno de Costa Rica.

Los Tribunales de Justicia de Jicaral obtuvieron la certificación EDGE definitiva del Consejo de Construcción Sostenible de Costa Rica (GBCCR).

Osasco Eco Building

The Osasco Eco Building by WangPar, located in São Paulo, has received final EDGE certification from GBCI.

Osasco Eco Building


In the middle of Osasco, a São Paulo suburb known for its industrial sector, the Osasco Eco Building stands tall as an alternative to the energy-consuming buildings around it. Built to house clinics and laboratories, the office building’s design solutions minimize its environmental impact, matching the technological innovation at work within the building.

The developer of the Osasco Eco Building, WangPar, and architectural consulting firm Acril used responsible construction materials to minimize embodied energy. These include concrete filler slabs for flooring, aluminum profile cladding for external walls, and hollow concrete blocks for internal walls. The building, which is unairconditioned, prevents extensive heat gain through low-E coated glass on the windows and reflective paint on the roof and walls. A rainwater harvesting system covers 82% of the roof to recycle water for use within the building.

The Osasco Eco Building has received final EDGE certification from GBCI.

Working Room Data Center Serpong

The Gedung Working Room Data Center in Serpong has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from the Green Building Council Indonesia.

Working Room Data Center Serpong


The Working Room Data Center in Serpong stands as a landmark of geometric architecture in the urban hub of Tangerang, an industrial and manufacturing hub outside of Jakarta. It’s futuristic angles, red lights and spiked roof all signify that the building is different, but beyond its exterior, the office for the telkosigma IT company is also designed to be resource-efficient and green. The office building conserves up to 75% in water use with features such as a rainwater harvesting system that covers the entire roof and a black water treatment and recycling system. To save energy, low-E glass technology minimizes heat radiation from the sunlight that streams in from the east and south sides of the building. The pattern on the building’s façade serves a dual function of not only symbolizing the company’s work in the data sector, but also reducing the window to wall ratio, which limits energy usage. Paired with external shading devices and energy-efficient air conditioning, these features keep the building cool in Jakarta’s tropical climate. The building is owned by PT Sigma Cipta Caraka, which is an IT services and solutions provider that is mindful of environmental problems, making EDGE certification a logical fulfillment of the company’s philosophy.

The building’s green features were added by the developer, PT. PP, at very little additional cost and are expected to be recovered through utility savings in less than four months, as utility bills are projected to be half of what are typical of a conventional building. PT. PP has more than six decades of experience in the Indonesian construction sector and is committed to building sustainably. The company has developed embassies, hospitals, homes, offices and more throughout Indonesia. The Working Room Data Center in Serpong has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from the Green Building Council Indonesia.

The Integra Business Center has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from CAMACOL.

El nuevo Integra Centro de Negocios se encuentra en Pereira, una ciudad montañosa de la región productora de café en el oeste de Colombia. Situado a apenas tres cuadras de la zona comercial de la Avenida Circunvalar, el edificio de oficinas de la empresa está idealmente ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, cerca de opciones de transporte público y servicios para empleados. Este edificio de seis pisos cuenta con 27 oficinas y tiene un diseño moderno con características ecológicas. El edificio está rodeado de árboles y en cada piso existen patios para que los empleados disfruten un entorno natural mientras están en el trabajo.

Desarrollado por Contecho S.A.S, el edificio de oficinas de Integra tiene muchas características ecológicas que le permiten minimizar los costos operativos y mantener el compromiso del propietario con la sostenibilidad. El compromiso de Integra con la sostenibilidad va más allá de su decisión de funcionar en un edificio de oficinas ecológico. La empresa, encargada de prestar un servicio de transporte masivo a la ciudad de Pereira, se asegura de que sus vehículos sean ecológicos, incluida su flota de autobuses Megabus.

Contecho S.A.S es una empresa de bienes raíces que construye viviendas, oficinas y almacenes en la zona de Pereira. La empresa, fundada en 1996, se especializó originalmente en la construcción de techos y terrazas. Pero en la actualidad ofrece también servicios de administración de edificios y construcción para proyectos de mayor envergadura, como el edificio de oficinas de Integra. The Pavillion – Aurbis-ORR is a newly constructed commercial building located in the eastern suburb of Bengaluru called Marathalli. The building is located on the mutation corridor with connectivity to the main road of Sarjapur, Bengaluru’s thriving business district. Here one can find excellent residential enclaves, schools, hospitals, malls and high-street shopping.

The builder of the property, SJR Primecorp, has provided the core and shell and the basic infrastructure. The developer’s client, Singapore-based Aurbis Business Parks, is providing the interior fit-outs and leasing the building long term. It was Aurbis’ motivation for the building to become EDGE certified so that potential tenants will be convinced of the value of the superior performance of the building compared to a conventional building, in the areas of energy, water and embodied energy in materials. Aurbis is committed to meeting the highest environmental standards for the interior fit-outs related to lighting, automation and materials in all of its properties.

MRCB New Office Building

The MRCB New Office Building in Manshaan, China has achieved a preliminary EDGE certificate from thinkstep-SGS.

MRCB New Office Building


As a pioneer of green financing for small and medium banks across China, Maanshan Rural Commercial Bank (MRCB) decided to design and build its own green office. The bank is the first prefecture-level city farmer’s bank in China and it provides financial services to primarily rural farmers and small and medium enterprises. Its new office complex consists of a 37-floor main building and two podium buildings on either side. MCRB’s New Office Building will make a mark on the skyline of Maanshan, where the local government recently prioritized green buildings as critical for urban planning through 2020.

The office’s green design will ensure that the company saves on operational costs and uses fewer natural resources. An insulated roof, energy-efficient air conditioning and higher-thermal performance glass all conserve energy, while low-flow faucets and dual flush water closets save up to 46 percent in water use compared to a conventionally-designed office building. These green features will save the company up to $800 per month in utility bills.

MRCB has led the way in greening China’s building market and has implemented its own innovative solutions to improving China’s ability to build green. Its Green Bee Green Financial Information Platform, developed in partnership with IFC, provides an interactive source for industry think tanks, financial institutions and enterprises to obtain market information for green financing. The bank is committed to providing green financial products to its customers in the coming years. The MRCB New Office Building has achieved a preliminary EDGE certificate from thinkstep-SGS.

E.Town 5

E.Town 5 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam has achieved a preliminary EDGE certificate.

E.Town 5


E.Town 5 is one of five office buildings on the E.Town campus, which is located in the Tan Binh District of Ho Chi Minh City. The resource-efficient building will provide a comfortable work environment, while also reducing operating expenses with a lower carbon footprint.

The building contains 17 floors and saves a significant amount of water, up to nearly 50 percent, with the help of low-flow faucets and water-efficient bathrooms. Other features include an energy-efficient air conditioning system with a water-cooled chiller, limited glazing with thermal properties, and energy-saving lighting with occupancy sensors. These features will help the building save up to 664.3 tCO2 per year.

E.Town 5 is developed by Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE), a company operating primarily in mechanical and engineering consulting services. Since 1977, the company has embraced modern and innovative design, while also considering its environmental impact. E.Town 5 has received final EDGE certification from SGS Vietnam.

M-Building Commercial Office Tower

M-Building Commercial Office Tower by Motives International, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, has achieved a preliminary EDGE certificate.

M-Building Commercial Office Tower

The developer of the M-Building Commercial Office Tower believes in the importance of green buildings that lower operational costs and reduce their carbon footprint. Designed by Fossup with green building solutions by Ardor Green, the M-Building Commercial Office Tower is located in the Phu My Hung urban area of District 7 in Ho Chi Minh City, where it is available for lease by the 4M Joint Stock Company.

The 10-story office building has many green features including an energy-saving lighting system, heat recovery from exhaust air to improve ventilation, a low-E double-glazed building façade, and autoclaved aerated concrete blocks for both internal and external walls. The office also significantly reduces water use by up to 57% with low-flow faucets and efficient water closets throughout the building.

The M-Building Commercial Office Tower has received final EDGE certification from SGS Vietnam.

Alturia, ubicada en la ciudad de Pereira (departamento de Risaralda), fue inspirada por la demanda del mercado de un centro de negocios moderno. La torre de 11 pisos consta de 88 oficinas, cuyas superficies oscilan entre 33 m² y 53 m². Cada unidad tiene un diseño interior sofisticado y confortable, con cocina, baño, depósito y estacionamiento.

Alturia fue diseñado por Núcleo Constructora, que ha asumido el compromiso de construir y promover proyectos que brinden valor a sus clientes. La empresa, que cuenta con casi 24 años de experiencia, es líder en el sector inmobiliario de Colombia debido a su seriedad, disciplina, compromiso y pasión por su trabajo.
