Concesionario Casabaca – Granados


Casabaca, a leading automotive company in Ecuador, will open a new sales office and service center in Quito. The building, Concesionario Casabaca – Granados, will feature a large showroom, offices, and a garage with capacity for 1,500 cars. The garage will be equipped for express maintenance, general repairs, and paint, adhering to the standards of Toyota Motor Company.

LED lighting, insulation, and occupancy sensors will be used to reduce the building’s energy use, while dual-flush water closets and water-efficient plumbing fixtures will reduce the building’s water use. The energy and water savings will lower Casabaca’s operating costs.

Concesionario Casabaca – Granados is aligned with Casabaca’s commitment to reduce the environmental impact of its operations. The project was designed by Jaime Miranda y Asociados, who focused on increasing the resource efficiency of the building.

Concesionario Casabaca – Granados has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from GBCI.

Cosmos Yopougon

Cosmos Yopougon


Cosmos Yopougon is the first world-class shopping center to be built in Yopougon, Abidjan’s largest municipality. The shopping mall provides a convenient and high-quality shopping experience to a previously ignored, lower middle-class community of almost two million. Opened in October 2018, Cosmos Yopougon is anchored by Carefour, Burger King and the largest Majestic Cinema in Côte d’Ivoire.

To meet international standards for resource efficiency, energy and water-saving technologies were incorporated into the design, construction and internal processes of the building. Reflective paint, an energy-efficient HVAC system and LED lighting reduce the shopping center’s energy use, while water-efficient plumbing fixtures reduce the shopping center’s water use. Skylights were also incorporated into the design of the shopping center, providing daylight to over half of the top floor.

Cosmos Yopougon was developed by HC Capital Properties, a real estate investment and development firm focused on West and Central Africa. HC Capital Properties is committed to responsible investing, developing projects with strong economic and social impacts. Cosmos Yopougon is a manifestation of the company’s commitment and a model for resource-efficient design in Côte d’Ivoire.

Trier

Trier


Located in the Carolina district of Quito, Trier is a 10-story building with a retail shop, office and 23 apartments. Residents will enjoy the building’s impressive location, offering panoramic views of the city and easy access to Quito’s restaurants, shopping centers and nightlife. Residents will also enjoy numerous amenities including a gym, BBQ area, and green roof with endemic plants.

The building was designed to reduce its environmental impact through the conservation of natural resources. A heat pump for hot water generation, reflective paint and energy-saving lighting contribute to the building’s energy savings, while dual-flush water closets and low-flow faucets contribute to the building’s water savings.

Trier was designed by architects Michelle Vizcaíno and Carlos Valverde, and developed by Inmoplus. For over 20 years, Inmoplus has provided its customers with safe, modern homes in great locations around Ecuador.

Trier has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from GBCI.

Guizhou Tower

Guizhou Tower


Guizhou Tower is a landmark building located in Guiyang, the provincial capital of Guizhou. The mixed-use tower is home to offices, loft-style apartments and a public area with restaurants and shops. The property is ideally located in the new central business district, Guanshanhu, and only a few minutes’ walk away from the newly finished light rail system.

Guizhou Tower utilizes resource-efficient features and technologies to reduce its environmental impact and save on operating costs. An energy-efficient air conditioning system, roof insulation, and a high efficiency boiler for space heating reduce the building’s energy use, while water-efficient plumbing fixtures and a rain harvesting system reduce the building’s water use.

The investor of the project, Asia Green Real Estate, has worked with IFC since 2017 to help its clients identify the most cost-effective solutions to build green. Asia Green Real Estate has dedicated green building experts who analyze the resource efficiency of each project and help develop buildings that are environmentally, economically, and socially sound. The company has already invested in more than two million square meters of sustainable floor space and has achieved EDGE certification for a number of projects, including Ecoloft Jababeka Cikarang, Verde Two Terraverde Tower, Samara Suites, and Verde Two Monteverde Tower.

Guizhou Tower has received final EDGE certification from GBCI.

Multicine Paseo Villa del Rio


Royal Films, una cadena de cines líder en Colombia, abrió una nueva sala en Bogotá. La sala de cine servirá como un lugar de reunión para familias y amigos de toda la comunidad y ampliará el acceso a los cines a los residentes de la capital.

En consonancia con el compromiso de Royal Films con la sostenibilidad ambiental, el diseño de la sala de cine se orientó a la conservación de los recursos naturales. La iluminación LED, el aislamiento del techo y un sistema de aire acondicionado con volumen de refrigerante variable contribuirán al ahorro de energía del edificio, mientras que los inodoros de descarga doble y los accesorios de plomería de bajo consumo contribuirán al ahorro de agua.

Los proyectores que funcionan completamente con una fuente de luz de láser también se utilizarán para la proyección de películas a los fines de reducir el uso de energía.

Multicine Paseo Villa del Río recibió una certificación EDGE preliminar de CAMACOL.

Concreto en obra de compuestos y base de acero para el piso, techo de panel sándwich revestido de acero, placas de yeso sobre montantes metálicos con aislamiento y ladrillos huecos con yeso en ambas caras para las paredes internas, y malla 3D con concreto proyectado en ambas caras para las paredes externas.
