ProCredit Bank Bulgaria Head Office
ProCredit Bank Bulgaria Head Office
The Head Office of ProCredit Bank Bulgaria is the first building in the ProCredit Group to achieve EDGE Zero Carbon certification. Zero Carbon status is awarded to EDGE-certified projects that have offset 100% of their operational emissions and have reached at least 40% energy savings onsite compared to a base case building. This achievement reflects ProCredit’s strategy of reducing its environmental impact through various measures.
LED lighting, insulation, energy-efficient cooling and ventilation systems, sensible heat recovery from exhaust air, and a solar photovoltaic plant were installed in the office to achieve 50 percent onsite energy savings. The remaining CO2 emissions will be offset through biogas production from the local wastewater treatment plant.
The ProCredit Group is made up of development-oriented commercial banks operating in Southeastern and Eastern Europe and South America. The group is committed to minimizing the impact of its lending operations and encouraging its clients to invest in an environmentally-responsible way.
ProCredit Bank’s head office in Bulgaria has received EDGE Zero Carbon certification from Sintali-SGS.
Predicted Savings of EDGE Certification
Energy Savings*
Water Savings
Less Embodied Energy in Materials
Technical Solutions
Energy
Reduced window-to-wall ratio, insulation of the roof and external walls, higher thermal performance glass, an energy-efficient air conditioning system, solar photovoltaics, energy-saving lighting in internal spaces, occupancy sensors, offsite renewable energy procurement, and carbon offsets.
Water
Dual-flush water closets and low-flow faucets in all bathrooms and water-efficient faucets for kitchen sinks.
Materials
Re-use of existing floor, roof, walls, and window frames.
*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
ArthaLand Century Pacific Tower
ArthaLand Century Pacific Tower
A publicly-listed company, ArthaLand is a pioneer in the development of premium sustainable projects that couple innovative design with high quality construction. All of the company’s residential and commercial projects adhere to global and national standards for green buildings, including LEED and BERDE.
ArthaLand is the first in the world to achieve EDGE Zero Carbon certification for its flagship office building, the ArthaLand Century Pacific Tower (ACPT) in Manila. It is the only triple-certified project in the Philippines, having also earned LEED Platinum and BERDE 5-star certification. Zero Carbon status is awarded to EDGE-certified projects that have offset 100% of their operational emissions and have reached at least 40% energy savings onsite compared to a base case building. ACPT has projected energy savings of 45% with 100% hydroelectric energy supplied by the Pantabangan Masiway Hydroelectric Plant.
“We are honored to receive this certification award as it shines light on our other projects, Cebu Exchange and Savya Financial Center. These office projects will adhere to the same standards and target EDGE Zero Carbon certification,” said Jaime González, Vice Chairman and President of ArthaLand. “By achieving Zero Carbon, we have once again raised the bar of green building standards in the country, keeping us true to our unwavering commitment of building sustainable and exceptional developments.”
ArthaLand Century Pacific Tower has received final EDGE certification from the Philippine Green Building Initiative.
