Lindal do Brasil – Jundiai is a new facility of about 8600 sqm, in São Paulo, Brazil. Developed by Lindal do Brasil, building construction management was led by Five Engenharia.
Lindal do Brasil has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from GBCI.
Predicted Savings of EDGE Certification
Less Embodied Energy in Materials
Reduced window-to-wall ratio, reflective paint/tiles for the roof and external walls, insulation of the roof and external walls, a variable refrigerant volume (VRV) cooling system, energy-saving lighting in sales, corridors, and common areas, occupancy sensors in bathrooms, solar hot water collectors, and skylights to provide daylight to 50 percent of top floor area.
Efficient-flush water closets, water-efficient urinals and faucets for kitchen sinks, aerators for faucets/auto shut-off faucets, and a rainwater harvesting system.
Precast concrete double tee units for floors, steel sheets on steel rafters for the roof construction, medium weight hollow concrete blocks for internal and external walls, plasterboards on metal studs with insulation for internal walls, aluminum-clad sandwich panel for external walls, and ceramic tile flooring.
*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
