Produbanco Iñaquito

Produbanco Iñaquito is an office development located in the Iñaquito district, in the heart of the financial center of Quito, Ecuador. It was developed by Produbanco, Ecuador’s third-largest commercial bank and member of the international financial group Promerica. The project forms part of Produbanco’s commitment to green banking and efforts to promote sustainability. The Iñaquito office project incorporates structural elements of an existing building, which Produbanco decided to remodel completely starting in 2018.
Through the use of energy-efficient solutions such as reflective paint for roofs and external walls, external shading devices, more energy efficient glassing, smart meters, occupancy sensors and LED lightbulbs, and water-efficient plumbing features, the project was able to significantly reduce its energy and water consumption. Additionally, the re-use of existing building elements such as external walls, allowed for a reduction of energy embodied in construction materials resulting in a more sustainable construction project and a reduced carbon footprint.
Produbanco Iñaquito has received Final EDGE Advanced Certification from Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).
