The EDGE Executive Operations and Management (EO&M) Team, composed of staff from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), is responsible for the development, central administration, and global oversight of the EDGE program.

The EDGE Advisory Board is a voluntary, independent expert body that provides strategic guidance and technical input to EDGE Operations and Management (EO&M) team. Its core function is to review, challenge, and respond to proposals put forward by the management team, ensuring that EDGE’s standards, tools, and direction remain technically sound, globally relevant, and aligned with evolving best practices in sustainable construction and the built environment. By bringing together professionals with diverse expertise and geographic perspectives, spanning climate finance, decarbonization, embodied carbon, building physics, resilience, and more, the Advisory Board acts as a trusted check and balance that strengthens the integrity and impact of the EDGE program.

The board member selection is designed to bring a well-balanced mix of institutional knowledge, hands-on implementation experience, global reach, and diverse regional perspectives to the EDGE EO&M team. The Advisory Board Members (as of June 2026) include:

We welcome applications from professionals with expertise in areas such as climate finance, decarbonization, embodied carbon, circularity, building physics, resilience, energy and water benchmarking, and facilities or energy management. Geographic diversity and gender balance are key considerations in the selection process. Candidates are assessed on an individual basis and all applications receive equal consideration.
Board members commit to up to three virtual meetings per year, each approximately two hours long and serve an initial term of three years with the possibility of one renewal. Participation is entirely voluntary and unpaid.
