EEM11 Efficient cooling system 2 calculation
3.0
All
EEM13
The improved case does not reflect the capacity installed in chiller system 2.
Project teams shall avoid using Type 2 systems, by providing 0 in capacity and efficiency. Then use Type 3 where needed.
Open
Type 2 will be blocked for version 3.0. Fixed in V 3.1.
EEM06 Insulation of Ground/Raised Floor Slab for unconditioned basements
3.0, 3.1
All
EEM06, MEM01
The EDGE calculator can only model the heat transfer of slabs on ground for conditioned spaces.
Project teams shall use base case vale when the basement is thermally unconditioned. The actual U value shall be used for conditioned or partially conditioned spaces. The definition of bottom floor construction in MEM01 reamains unchanged.
Open
Future versions will provide additional basement modelling capabilities for heat transfer from the ground.
MEM06 interior calls consistencies between improved and base case
3.1
All
MEM06
The EDGE calculator assumes a higher indoor wall area in the improved case when the detailed entry in EEM0 1 is used.
Project teams may leave the EEM01 calculator empty until this issue is solved.
Open
To be fixed in March 2025.
Instability issues while using V3.1
3.1
All
Energy, Water, and Materials measures
The EDGE app returns #NA when switching across typologies and/or when using two materials in any of the MEMs.
The EDGE V3.0 remains as the default engine until the fixes in the App are deployed
Open
To be fixed in March 2025.
EEM01 Detailed calculator
3.1
All
Energy, Indoor Partition Walls
There are significantly low savings in warm climates and a incorrect interior wall estimation when the detailed entry in EEM01 is used.
Project teams may avoid using the calculator in EEM01 until the fix is implemented.
Open
To be fixed in March 2025.

EEM18 Domestic hot water systems in the dropdown are not saved.
3.0
All
EEM18
Project teams may see reductions in the hot water savings are saving the subproject.
Manually Provide users with additional savings via EEM34
Closed
Fixed 8/30/2024. Project teams shall remove savings in EEM34.
Sudden drop in water savings (8/15/2024)
3.0
All
Water measures
A glitch in the database caused overnight changes in water savings in subprojects globally.
N/A. The issue was notified to the IT team for immediate fix.
Closed
Fixed 8/15/2024. Project teams may need to re-calculate and save.
U-value calculations for bottom floors calculations
3.0
All
EEM06
Cooling and heating energy is not correctly calculated with high U-values.
Project teams shall keep base case U-value for bottom floor.
Closed
Fixed in EDGE APP V 3.1
Zero values in thickness or steel rebar
3.0
All
MEM01, MEM02, MEM04
The EDGE calculator assumes the default improved value when either thickness or steel rebar is zero.
Project teams shall input 0.01, instead of 0.0 in either thickness or steel rebar
Closed
Fixed in EDGE APP V 3.1
EEM28 efficient refrigeration for light industry.
3.0
Light Industry
EEM28
Base and improved case for light industry projects with refrigeration cannot be correctly modelled as for warehouses as measure EEM28 is not enabled.
Project teams may use warehouse sub typology.
Closed
Fixed in EDGE APP V 3.1
Fuel for cooking not accounted in emissions and operational costs.
3.0
All
Energy tab
Operational costs and emissions from cooking are not in the energy tab.
Project teams should be aware that costs and emissions do not include cooking energy
Closed
Fixed in EDGE APP V 3.1
#N/A or #DIV/0! In energy, water or materials tabs
3.0
All
Energy, Water, and Materials tab
Project team cannot see the status of the savings achieved.
Try to clear cache and reload the project. Alternatively, revert changes done that caused the issue and report it to edge@ifc.org
Closed
Fixed in EDGE APP V 3.1
Efficient Refrigerators and Clothes Washing Machines
3.0
Serviced Apartments
EEM29
Project teams do not see savings due to refrigeration and appliances.
If all the conditions are met according to the latest user guide, project teams my claim additional 20% savings via EEM34
Closed
Fixed in EDGE APP V 3.1
Materials base case assumptions for Jordan
3.0
All
MEM01, MEM02, MEM04
Base case assumptions do not consider structural considerations for seismic zones.
Project teams may discount structural components and additional reinforcements in slabs as a result of seismic considerations in the building code.
closed
Fixed in EDGE APP V 3.1
Lighting Controls measure does not provide savings
3.0
Various Typologies
EEM24
EEM24 does not provide savings in various typologies.
Project teams may claim 10% savings in lighting energy via EEM34.
Closed
Fixed in EDGE APP V 3.1
Virtual energy for “heating only” and “cooling only”
3.0
All
Energy
When selecting “heating only” in the “detailed input loads” no virtual energy is calculated.
Project teams may only use “No conditioning required” or “Both cooling and heating” in the interim.
Closed
Fixed in EDGE APP V 3.1
WEM02 and WEM04 calculators glitch.
3.0
All
WEM02 and WEM04
Calculators of such measures provide incorrect results
Projects shall do calculation offline and provide a calculated value directly.
Closed
Fixed in EDGE APP V 3.1
EEM33 Onsite Renewable Energy in homes and apartments
3.0
Homes and Apartments
EEM33
The Energy percentage calculated does not match the expected total energy savings
Project teams may go to the solar https://globalsolaratlas.info/map, calculate energy generated, estimate the percentage of electricity when the EEM33 measure is not enabled, and provide the corresponding percentage energy savings in the detailed entry view of the measure.
