Solar PV capacity installed (kWp).

EEM33
The solar PV capacity calculated in the app should not necessarily be aligned by with the actual capacity. This value is used in the back end to estimate the cost metrics, but it is not intended to reflect the actual installed capacity.
Project teams shall ignore the Capacity column in the detailed entry in EEM33. Instead, project teams shall calculate the energy generated using external tools and input the expected yearly energy generated onsite. This column has been removed in EDGE V3.1.

Heating energy end-use missing.
3.1
All
EEM16
The improved case heating energy end-use is missing when EEM16 calculator is used. As a result, users may have the false impression of excessive savings due to disappearance of the heating energy.
If only one system is used, users may enter information on the main measure, instead of the calculator. If more than one system is used, users are required to complete all three heating system types within the calculator. Systems types that are not present, must be entered as: “Air Cooled DX Unitary Heat Pump”, with 0 kW capacity and 0 COP.

Default conditioning requirements for cold storage in Warehouses incorrectly labeled as “NON AC & NO HTG”.
3.0
Warehouse
Design Tab
The user guide states that “Activities marked as “NON AC & NO HTG” in the EDGE Default Space Conditioning column are allowed to select “No Conditioning Required””, however cold storage in warehouses is incorrectly marked as “NON AC & NO HTG” in the EDGE App version 3.0, creating the impression that users may selected “Not conditioning required” in this activity area.
The correct EDGE Default Space Conditioning is “AC & HTG”. As a result, conditioning requirements for Cold Storage (or any industrial refrigerated space) must be set as “Both Heating and Cooling”.

Alternative method: Refrigeration energy for Frozen/Cold/Fruit & Vegetable storage areas via SRR in EDGE App V3.0.
3.0
Warehouse
Design Tab
When the project team uses the alternative the compliance method via SRR for EEM28, the first step is to combine Frozen/Cold/Fruit & Vegetable storage areas and add them to “Storage” area, to avoid double counting. However, due a known issue in the EDGE App V3.0, when the all the three industrial refrigeration activity areas (Frozen/Cold/Fruit & Vegetable ) are left as zero, the refrigeration energy becomes zero.
For subprojects registered in EDGE App V3.0, Fruit & Vegetable storage areas must be set at 0.1 m2 (or any value higher than 0), due to a app known issue that has been fixed in V3.1. Alternatively, projects may re-register in the EDGE App V3.1 as proceed as indicated in the user guide.

Simplified method for calculating energy demand for industrial refrigeration areas (Cold Storage, Frozen Storage and Fruits & Vegetables Storage) in EDGE V3.0
3.0
Warehouse
N/A
When the “Alternative method: Refrigeration energy for Frozen/Cold/Fruit & Vegetable storage areas via SRR” in projects for V3.0 is not feasible, the project team may model only cold storage areas in a subproject in EDGE V3.1, using all the actual engineering specifications. The cooling energy for base and improved case resulting from such modelling, can be then “transferred” to the V3.0 subproject as refrigeration energy by adjusting the volume (m3) in “EEM28 – Efficient Refrigeration for Cold Storage” Calculator and claiming the equivalent savings via “EEM34 – Additional Energy Savings Measures”.
