Crystal USG
EDGE Advanced
Crystal USG is a housing project located on the les Almadies peninsula overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on the west side of Dakar, Senegal. It consists of a total of 47 apartments with an average floor space of 254 square meters. The project was developed by SERTEM Groupe, a local real estate development company with a proven track record of over 20 years of delivering high-quality commercial and residential projects and the vision to develop Africa’s infrastructure of tomorrow by advancing the use of green design features. Crystal was designed to send a positive signal for greening infrastructure in the Senegalese market, through alignment with Senegal’s NDC’s, the National Adaptation Plan, and the Plan for an Emerging Senegal.
By incorporating modern technologies such as a variable refrigerant volume (VRV) cooling system, ceiling fans, energy-saving appliances such as LED lightbulbs and water-efficient plumbing features, the project was able to significantly reduce its energy and water consumption, resulting in a more sustainable construction project and a reduced carbon footprint.
Crystal has received a Preliminary EDGE Advanced Certificate from Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).
