Edificio Madrid 167
Edificio Madrid 167 is an eight-story apartment building in Lima. Located in the heart of the Miraflores district, residents will have easy access to the boardwalk, restaurants and shopping centers.
Homeowners will benefit from lower utility bills as all units reduce energy and water usage through energy-saving indoor lighting, dual-flush water closets, low-flow plumbing fixtures and more. In addition to incorporating resource-efficient technologies, the apartment building will have bicycle parking for residents to encourage environmentally-friendly transport.
The developer of the project, V&V Grupo Inmobiliario, is mindful of the societal and environmental impacts of its projects. Edificio Madrid 167 is an example of its commitment to the sustainable development of communities in which it operates.
Edificio Madrid 167 has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from GBCI.
Predicted Savings of EDGE Certification
Less Embodied Energy in Materials
Reduced window to wall ratio, reflective paint/tiles for the roof and energy-saving lighting in internal spaces.
Dual-flush water closets and low-flow showerheads and faucets for kitchen sinks and washbasins.
In-situ reinforced concrete for the floor slab, medium weight hollow concrete blocks for internal and external walls, and in-situ reinforced external walls.
*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
