Habitat Infinity
Habitat Infinity is an 18-story housing development located in northern Ibagué, Colombia. Developed by MAAS Arquitectura, a local real estate developer, the project consists of a total of 162 apartment units, ranging in size from 53 to 96 square meters. The developer is committed to “elevating the levels” of Ibagué, also known as the “musical city of Colombia”.
Habitat Infinity is conveniently located on the “Golden Mile” near schools, shopping complexes and hospitals, and will also have retail space on its ground level. The spacious apartments come with an outdoor pool, BBQ areas, fitness center, social room, and recreational areas for guests to enjoy the outdoors. Habitat Infinity also features a central commercial boulevard and apartments incorporating modern designs with the latest trend in floors and finishes, and a general vision toward environmentally friendly design and the highest standards in sustainability.
To achieve these sustainability targets, the project incorporated state-of-the-art resource-efficiency and construction technologies such as external shading devices, thermally efficient glass, and LED lighting with occupancy sensors. In combination with water-saving plumbing features, this results in a more environmentally-friendly construction project with an associated lower carbon footprint.
During construction, the developers of the project also adopted sustainable practices to ensure minimal environmental impact, including solid waste management, construction waste recycling, soil protection and the reuse of rainwater throughout the construction process.
