LatAm Parque Logístico Coyol I is a 19-hectares logistics park located on the Coyol-Alajuela highway in Costa Rica. The park’s five warehouses provide customers with 80,000 square meters of Class A logistics facilities.
Resource-efficient design and technologies were incorporated into Warehouse 500 to reduce its environmental impact. Reflective paint, energy-saving lighting, and occupancy sensors were used to reduce the building’s energy use, while water-efficient plumbing fixtures were installed to reduce the building’s water use.
The developer, LatAm Logístico Properties (LLP), is committed to the development and operation of modern, resource-efficient logistics parks. Predicted Savings of EDGE Certification
Less Embodied Energy in Materials
Reduced window to wall ratio, reflective paint/tiles for the roof and external walls, energy-saving lighting in the sales and external areas, and occupancy sensors in bathrooms.
Aerators and auto shut-off faucets and water-efficient single-flush water closets and urinals.
In-situ reinforced concrete for the floor, steel-clad sandwich panel for the roof, plasterboards on metal stuffs with insulation for internal walls, and medium weight hollow concrete blocks and steel-clad sandwich panels for external walls.
*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
