Lindal do Brasil – Jundiai
Lindal do Brasil – Jundiai is a factory of the Lindal International Group, a leading international manufacturer of aerosol packaging solutions. The project comprises a total area of 11,299 square meters and is located in the city of Jundiai on the outskirts of São Paulo.
It was developed by Five Engenharia with EDGE services provided by Daniela Corcuera of Quanta Studio.
The factory incorporated a variery of state-of-the-art energy and water efficiency measures which will lead to a projected 30% savings in utility costs. This was achieved through the use of measures such as reflective paint for external walls and roof, an energy-efficient cooling system, energy-saving lighting with occupancy sensors, solar hot water collectors and skylights providing natural light to the top floor area. In combination with water-saving technologies such as plumbing features and a rainwater harvesting system for irrigation as well as modern construction materials, this yielded a project that will save over 90 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
Lindal do Brasil – Jundiai has received Final EDGE Certification from Green Business Certification Inc (GBCI).

Technical Solutions
Energy
Reduced window to wall ratio, reflective paint for roof and external walls, insulation for roof, variable refrigerant volume (VRV) cooling system, energy-saving lighting in sales, corridors, common and external areas, occupancy sensors in bathrooms, solar hot water collectors and skylights to provide daylight to 50 percent of the top floor’s area.
Water
Aerators/auto shut-off faucets and water-efficient water closets, urinals and faucets for kitchen sinks and a rainwater harvesting system.
Materials
Precast concrete double tee units for floor, steel sheets on steel rafters for roof construction, aluminum-clad sandwich panel for external walls, medium weight hollow concrete blocks for external and internal walls, plasterboards on metal studs with insulation for internal walls, ceramic tiles and finished concrete floor for flooring, and aluminum window frames.
