Madrid Prana
Madrid Prana is a housing project located in the San Borja district of Lima, Peru. It consists of a total of 25 apartments with an average floor space of 101 square meters.
The project was developed by Madrid Ingenieros, a local real estate development company with a focus on sustainable housing construction.
By incorporating modern construction technologies such as insulation of the roof and external walls, the use of energy-saving appliances such as LED lightbulbs and water-efficient plumbing features, the project was able to significantly reduce its energy and water consumption, resulting in a more sustainable construction project and a reduced carbon footprint.
Madrid Prana has received Final EDGE Certification from Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).
Technical Solutions
Energy
Reduced window to wall ratio, insulation of roof and external walls, energy-saving light bulbs for external spaces, and lighting controls for corridors and staircases.
Water
Low-flow showerheads, low-flow faucets for kitchen sinks and all bathrooms, and dual-flush for water closets.
Materials
Medium-weight hollow concrete blocks for internal and external walls, concrete filler slab for floor and roof construction, ceramic tile and laminated wood flooring, and aluminum window frames.
