Periferico 428
Periferico 428 is a 27-story housing development in Mexico City, consisting of a total of 941 apartments ranging in size from 28 to 84 square meters. Located in the heart of 9 office corridors and surrounded by public transport options (2 metro lines, 3 bus stops and cycleway), Periferico 428 is an innovative rental housing project that allows the growing middle class to live within 30 minutes of their work. This would eliminate the need to use a car, thus reducing the carbon footprint of tenants.
The project is designed to be attractive particularly for young people looking for an opportunity to grow and develop professionally without incurring high housing costs in the country’s capital. The building also features bicycle parking, 1,800 square meters of green area and smart sensors.
State-of-the-art energy-saving and construction technologies such as thermally efficient glass, high-efficiency water heaters and LED lightbulbs with lighting controls allow for a reduction in the building’s energy consumption. Combined with water-saving technologies such as high-efficiency plumbing and a rainwater harvesting system, this results in a more sustainable project with a lower carbon footprint.
