Plaza Logística Esteban Echeverría
With three warehouse facilities that offer space for up to 10 companies to manage their logistic operations, the Plaza Logística Esteban Echeverría industrial park is strategically located 36 kilometers from Buenos Aires. The park sits at the junction of two major highways, and is also near an international airport and the ports of Buenos Aires and La Plata. Like all of Plaza Logística’s warehouses, the Esteban Echeverría park is built to triple A international standards, which require special fire safety measures, elevated walkways for pedestrians, regulated infrastructure requirements and more. The park has 200 garage spaces for trucks and is attracting Argentinian companies such as ABB, an industrial equipment supplier that specializes in digital technology and robotics.
The warehouse will reduce its use of natural resources, offering an efficient space for tenants to reduce operating costs and their carbon footprint. With energy-efficient air conditioning and reflective paint, the warehouse will conserve energy, while dual-flush water closets and auto shut-off faucets will reduce water use. Construction materials such as steel sheets on steel rafters for roof construction and finished concrete flooring will reduce embodied energy in materials.
Plaza Logística operates seven warehouses including the Esteban Echeverría warehouse. The company is committed to building efficient and sustainable multitenant logistics facilities. It also values developing a relationship with the local community and regularly offers tours of its facilities to university students who are studying logistics, supply chain technology and other relevant fields. Its partnerships with local universities offer students a chance to learn about logistics operations and the industrial sector in Argentina. Plaza Logística Esteban Echeverría has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from GBCI.

Technical Solutions
Energy
Reduced window to wall ratio, reflective paint/tiles for the roof and external walls, insulation for roofing and external walls, variable refrigerant volume (VRF) cooling system, energy-saving lighting and occupancy sensors in bathrooms.
Water
Dual flush water closets, water-efficient urinals and aerators/auto shut-off faucets.
Materials
Controlled use of concrete for floor slabs, steel sheets on steel rafters for roof construction, medium weight hollow concrete blocks and steel profile cladding for external walls, plasterboards on metal studs with insulation and cored bricks with plaster on both sides for internal walls, finished concrete flooring and steel window frames.
*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
