Privadas del Parque

Privadas del Parque

EDGE Advanced

Privadas del Parque is a residential development project located in Zumpango, Mexico. Upon completion, the project will comprise a total of 3,158 affordable units, with an average floor space of approximately 50 square meters. Privadas del Parque proposes an urban architectural concept that prioritizes the needs of the inhabitants, designed around 5 central squares, community centers, urban furniture and public recreational spaces that will enhance the building of a community.

To meet international standards for resource efficiency, energy and water-saving technologies were incorporated into the design, construction and internal processes of the building. Insulated roofs and walls, solar hot water collectors and energy-saving hot water boilers as well as LED lighting reduce the project’s energy use, while water-efficient plumbing fixtures reduce its water consumption. In addition, the use of state-of-the art construction materials allowed for a significant reduction of energy embodied in materials by 65%, resulting in a more sustainable construction project and contributing to a lower carbon footprint overall.

The project is being developed by Comunidades COMVIVE, an EDGE Champion and leading local real estate developer. The project forms part of the company’s commitment to the creation of sustainable communities that ensure the quality of life of its inhabitants, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 agenda and the UN HABITAT principles. The project received strategic support from the NAMA Facility International Climate Finance Program.

Privadas del Parque has received a Final EDGE Advanced Certificate from Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).
