ProCredit Bank N. Macedonia Head Office
The ProCredit Group is made up of development-oriented commercial banks operating in Southeastern and Eastern Europe and South America, as well as a bank in Germany. One of the first buildings in the ProCredit Group to be certified with EDGE is the Head Office of ProCredit Bank N. Macedonia.
Aligned with ProCredit Bank’s environmental management strategy, resource-efficient technologies and features were incorporated into the head office. Solar photovoltaics, LED lighting and a ground source heat pump for heating, cooling and ventilation reduce the building’s energy use by almost two-thirds. The building’s envelope and pair of green roofs help to reduce heat losses and improve energy efficiency.
ProCredit Bank is committed to minimizing the impact of its lending operations and encouraging its clients to invest in an environmentally-responsible way.
ProCredit Bank’s head office in Macedonia has received EDGE Advanced certification from thinkstep-SGS.
Predicted Savings of EDGE Certification
Less Embodied Energy in Materials
Reduced window to wall ratio, insulation for the roof and external walls, higher thermal performance glass, energy-saving lighting in internal and external spaces, lighting controls for corridors and staircases, occupancy sensors in bathrooms, conference rooms and closed cabins, solar photovoltaics, a ground source heat pump, variable frequency drives in AHUs and speed drive pumps, air economizers during favorable outdoor conditions and sensible heat recovery from exhaust air.
Dual-flush water closets and water-efficient faucets for kitchen sinks.
In-situ reinforced concrete slabs for the roof and floor slabs, autoclaved aerated concrete blocks for internal and external walls, plasterboards on metal studs with insulation for internal walls and vinyl flooring.
*Part of the energy efficiency percentage may be associated with virtual energy for comfort depending on the presence of heating and cooling systems. Note that virtual energy does not contribute savings to utility bills.
