Produbanco Sucursal Guayaquil
Produbanco Sucursal Guayaquil is an office development located within the Pacífica Center, part of the Ciudad Colón Business Park in Guayaquil, Ecuador. It was developed by Produbanco, Ecuador’s third-largest commercial bank and member of the international financial group Promerica. The new office construction forms part of Produbanco’s commitment to green banking and efforts to promote sustainability.
Through the use of energy-efficient solutions such as reflective paint for roofs, more energy efficient glassing, heat recovery systems for exhaust air, smart meters, occupancy sensors and LED lightbulbs, and water-efficient plumbing features, the project was able to significantly reduce its energy and water consumption, resulting in a more sustainable construction project and a reduced carbon footprint.
Produbanco Sucursal Guayaquil has received Final EDGE Certification from Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).

Reflective paint/tiles for roofs, low-E coated glass, heat recovery from exhaust air, energy-saving light bulbs for internal and external spaces, occupancy sensors for bathrooms, conference rooms, closed cabins and open offices, daylight sensors for internal spaces, consumption-based energy meters, and smart energy meters for electricity.
Water
Efficient flush for water closets, water-efficient urinals, water efficient faucets in bathrooms and kitchen sinks.
Materials
Composite in-situ concrete and steel deck (permanent shuttering) for floor and roof construction, curtain walling and medium weight hollow concrete blocks for external walls, medium weight hollow concrete blocks and plasterboards on metal studs with insulation for internal walls, and vinyl and ceramic tiles for flooring.
