Real Plaza Puruchuco, the newest and largest shopping mall of the Real Plaza chain, has opened in Lima. The mall offers a modern space for retailers in a growing urban zone of the city.
The shopping mall was designed to serve as an example of resource efficiency in the retail sector, utilizing technologies that reduce energy and water usage. The resource-efficient technologies installed include energy-saving lighting, roof insulation, low-E coated glass, aerators and auto shut-off faucets, and water-efficient urinals. Natural ventilation was also incorporated to improve thermal comfort and to reduce air conditioning use.
Developed by Interproperties Perú, Real Plaza Puruchuco exemplifies the shopping chain’ mission to “create public spaces where people can be happy.” Real Plaza is achieving this goal by providing shoppers with a sustainable and innovative retail experience.

In-situ reinforced concrete slab for the floor and the roof, steel-clad sandwich panel for the roof, cement fibre boards on metal studs for internal and external walls, medium-weight hollow concrete blocks for internal walls, solid dense concrete blocks for external walls, and ceramic tile and finished concrete flooring.
