Torre Life
Torre Life is a mixed-use housing project in Quito, Ecuador. It consists of 40 apartments of one, two and three bedrooms and 3 shops on the ground level and was developed by Conepar Constructores. The average floor space of the apartments of Torre Life is 66 square meters.
By incorporating modern construction technologies such as reflective paint and insulation for external walls, heat pumps and solar collectors for hot water generation, the use of energy-saving appliances such as LED lightbulbs and water-efficient plumbing features, the project was able to significantly reduce its energy and water consumption, resulting in a more sustainable construction project and a reduced carbon footprint.
Torre Life has received a Preliminary EDGE Certificate from Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI)
Technical Solutions
Energy
Reflective paint and insulation for external walls, heat pump for hot water generation, solar hot water collectors, energy-saving light bulbs for internal spaces, and lighting controls for common spaces.

Low-flow showerheads, low-flow faucets for kitchen sinks and all bathrooms, and dual flush for water closets.
Materials
Medium weight hollow concrete blocks for internal and external walls, composite in-situ concrete and steel deck for floor and roof construction, ceramic tiles and laminated wood for flooring, and aluminum window frames.
