Torres del Cielo 2 and 3
LATAM Gestión designed the Torres del Cielo 2 and 3 with the commitment to certify its future portfolio with EDGE in mind. The company pursues design and construction strategies that result in the improved comfort and quality of life for their customers, regardless of their social stratum.
To achieve its goal for the project located in Pasto, Colombia, which has 1,008 social housing units, LATAM Gestión optimized its construction processes in several ways. Floor slabs were lightened to decrease the volume of concrete while maintaining structural integrity, with the overall lightening of the building load improving the performance of the structure in the event of an earthquake. Thermo-acoustic insulation was used among the internal divisions of the building and on the façade, which is fully modulated.
The following architects were involved in the designing of Torres del Cielo: Adriana Ocaña, Luis Arellano, José Manuel Arellano and Pablo Branchi. Torres del Cielo 2 and 3 has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from CAMACOL.
