WINGS by Studium Green


WINGS is a new residential development in the Zorilor neighborhood of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The community, which includes 220 units, is ideally located near public transportation, educational institutions for all ages, modern clinics, and shopping. The residents will enjoy the community’s numerous features that will help them connect to the environment, including panoramic views, green spaces, an urban garden, patios, electric car charging stations, and bicycle parking.

The community was designed to conserve natural resources, helping residents save on utilities and live more environmentally friendly lifestyles. LED lighting, reflective paint, insulation of the roof and walls, an energy-efficient boiler, and low-flow plumbing fixtures will be installed to reduce the building’s energy and water usage. The orientation of the building was also considered to maximize natural lighting and optimize thermal comfort.

The developer of the project, Studium Green, is a leader in the real estate market in Transylvania. Since 2012, Studium Green has been committed to building responsibly, pioneering green buildings in the market.  According to CEO, Dorin Bob, “We have demonstrated over the past 8 years, since the first certified green residential building we developed in Romania, that it can be built better, more qualitatively, with less environmental impact and lower costs for our end customer on long-term.”

Dual-flush water closets and low-flow showerheads and faucets for the bathrooms and kitchen sinks.


Materials


In-situ reinforced concrete slab for the floor and roof, cored bricks with plaster for internal and external walls, in-situ reinforced internal walls, common brick with plaster on both sides for external walls, mineral wool for wall insulation, and polyurethane for roof insulation.

Renault Bucharest Connected is the new home of the international car manufacturer, Groupe Renault Romania. The eight-story headquarters building includes ample office space, a showroom for Renault automobiles, an amphitheater, restaurant, medical office and gym.

The building features two large atriums that allow natural light into the office and a façade with high-performance thermal glass to minimize heat loss in the winter. These design features, combined with an energy-efficient boiler and energy-saving lighting, contribute to the building’s efficiency. Water-efficient plumbing fixtures and a rainwater harvesting system reduce the building’s water use.

Globalworth, the investor of the project, is a leading real estate company in Central and Eastern Europe that acquires, develops and manages commercial assets. They’re dedicated to building a more environmentally-friendly real estate portfolio with over 70 percent of properties certified green. Renault Bucharest Connected is a part of their growing portfolio of offices that have been certified green.
