The World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) convenes over 75+ Green Building Councils exist around the world, driving for a systemic transformation to sustainable and decarbonized built environments for everyone, everywhere.
We work with businesses, organizations and governments to deliver on the ambitions of the Paris Agreement and UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs).
- Vietnam
Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) is a non-profit entity driving the adoption of sustainable building practices in Vietnam. It provides advocacy, education, and certification programs aimed at improving building standards and promoting climate-resilient development.
- Jordan
The Jordan Green Building Council (Jordan GBC) is a globally recognized NGO dedicated to promoting green building practices in Jordan and beyond. As a member of WorldGBC and MENA GBC, it advocates for sustainable urban development, integrates green practices into policy, and elevates Jordan’s leadership in the global green building movement.
- Iraq
The Iraq Green Building Council is a non-profit organization promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly building practices in Iraq. Its mission is to address major environmental challenges by raising awareness, adopting global best practices, and creating localized green building standards.
- China
Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) provides independent certification, assessment, and advisory services, including sustainability and green building certification programs. HKQAA promotes green practices to enhance the resilience and quality of the built environment across Hong Kong and beyond.
- Uganda
Green Building Council Uganda (GBC Uganda) is an independent non-profit and member of WorldGBC, working to lead the transformation of Uganda’s built environment through low-carbon, climate-resilient practices. GBC Uganda focuses on advocacy, training, certification, and stakeholder engagement to promote safe, inclusive, and sustainable urban spaces.
- Nigeria
Green Building Council Nigeria (GBCN) is a not-for-profit, member-based organization dedicated to achieving an environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable built environment in Nigeria. GBCN advocates, trains, sets standards, and certifies green projects to catalyze positive change across the construction, real estate, and allied sectors.
- Botswana
Botswana Green Building Council (BotGBC) drives sustainable change across Botswana’s built environment. BotGBC promotes green building practices, fosters environmental stewardship, and builds a professional network focused on sustainable architecture and eco-friendly construction solutions.
